Success, Power & Chaos

Success is something you keep on chasing all your life, you can always temporarily feel that you have achieved something of great significance, but then something or the other pops up and you attain a certain craving for achieving that.

There was a time in my life when a few friends asked me “What I think is ‘success’ ?” & “what is it worth?”. I did not know the answer then, or at least, at that time, life & success was not that serious a topic for me.

Today, after a lot of time has passed, I can answer. Success is anything that makes you feel a little bit better than yesterday. It’s a feeling of satisfaction & calmness that your soul can feel. Success doesn’t have to be big. Even the smallest of things like keeping a promise can give you a feeling of success.

But, what happens? When someone acts, without caring for how their actions will affect the lives of others?

It comes to this very often. A few people with power, for their own benefits, change the order of how this is done & how they should be done, to please themselves. It’s a question of conscience, integrity & ethics that make for a regulated use of power. It’s a common saying “powers can be delegated, but responsibility can’t be”.

Some will say “  it’s a matter of coping with life” & “life isn’t fair”, deal with it”. It’s not the “deal with it” part, but an agonizing pain that is caused by someone’s subjective decision to suit them.

I believe, most people work extremely hard & it’s only when they review themselves that they get success. But, when success or position comes without actually working for it, it creates chaos, not for them, but for others.

The Disturbed Hierarchy

In the world we live today, almost everything is easier said, than done. I am not saying that actual execution of your task hasn’t been simplified, instead the simplicity now, has a unique demand of skills and processes.

Whether it is a Government organization or a private one, it is now a common belief that, where there is human, their is corruption, or at the very least, laziness. People sitting behind a desk, holding good positions, getting paid for what they are supposed to do, just neglect doing it. Even if they do complete the task they are paid to do, almost every other person takes an unjust amount of time to do it.

There is no meaning for the word productivity for authority figures. I am not implying that all authority figures or officers of a particular agency are like that. But, most of the people that I have come across, expect some kind of a payment to do their duties. Payment doesn’t necessarily mean money, sometimes just bragging about the things they have done, makes them happy.

Is it supposed to be like that ? Is taking crazy amount of time to complete any work justified ? Employment agencies, Education authorities, Government offices etc. etc. all take an unjust amount of time to process things, & even if they do, the intimation of the said work is almost non-existent, Why ? Isn’t the person waiting on the other side important ? Or is it, that the common person’s time doesn’t actually hold any value ?

Things have to change, in some places, they are changing. Government Agencies, Education Authorities & Institutions that hold a significant value in terms of Human welfare or empowerment should take necessary steps in interconnecting the leading agencies of our country.

Technology is to our benefit today, the time taken for postal services between these agencies can be cut to a least count, thus improving the overall productivity & economy. Certain developed countries have protocols for execution of certain task & they follow them to the book, these protocols are in place to increase productivity & general satisfaction.

Proper usage of resources & man power, applied at the right time & in right places can make all the difference.

AAP– an open letter

Dawn of a new today seems to be right around the corner. This is what I & many others thought & hoped for while expressing an open opinion to everyone or everywhere there was a forum for open speech, I tried to convey my best to get a few things out and in motion for the newly formed Aam Aadmi Party(AAP).

AAP & it’s backbone Shri. Arvind Kejriwal is well known for his dynamic speech & the true content he holds for this nation & our fight against corruption. AAP started more as a group who wanted to do something to change the current situation, a situation that is filled with corruption & barbaric political parties.

The Manifesto or the list of issues raised by AAP has been to the mark & most of these were also raised by the BJP.  AAP, before constituting itself as a political party, used to speak their mind. They used to do things that a common person would do. They stood for the constitution of India, at least I thought so.

Right after the Legislative council election, things started to change. The party, who I thought would do great in the Lok Sabha election, started to wiggle & collapse in the juice of a win. Well, not a win, but coming second in the first elections they ever appeared in. It was a big deal & many of us thought, things will finally change in the capital of India. The long-term of Congress rule in Delhi finally came to an end.

AAP was supposed to be a party for the common man & by the common man as most of their leaders say. But, is it? From what I have seen from their Media appearances, most of them appear to be in a sort of sarcastic mood. They are disrespectful, have no sense of politics as a science & appear to speak in a weird fashion. The Common man of India does not speak like that.

In a recent gathering of the three political parties on AAJ Tak, a lady politician openly called someone from the audience a liar ( the person was not lying & he just pointed out a fact about a statement from Shri. Kejriwal ). It appears that the science of politics is no longer applied. People from all the political parties appear to fight & quarrel, as if, they were in a fish market. The decency from every statement from every political party has vanished. AAP being the newest of the lot was expected to be a bit different. Why are they not?

We, the people expected them to make a Government & change things, the thing they promised they would change, when & if they came into power. From the current situation of things, it seems like they are running away from their duty, duty towards each & every person who voted for them. This is the time for AAP to show everyone the power of common man and the correct way of how things should be done. Instead, they are still contemplating on whether to make a Government? why?

Isn’t this why the AAP ran for power in these elections? Even after getting a chance to make a Government in Delhi, they still speak like the opposition, demanding things to be done. Why? AAP should take charge & do things they promised, at least now, when they are getting a chance. That is why the common man voted for you. They did not vote for you to indulge in some ridiculous series of question & answers and some weird idea of another opinion poll to form the Government. Winning 28 seats was more than enough opinion they should have wanted to form the Government.

Respect the common man and don’t just be another political party, is what we all ask of you. They should lose the Sarcasm & have some respect for people whose presence in the political sphere has always been a ray of hope for everyone.

We made you. We, the people of India. People of a country whose foundations were laid on a constitution as great as ours.

Where deeds don’t matter

“Adopt the good and discard the bad”, is a common statement we all get to learn while growing up. The current Indian Government has very keenly adopted the dynamic media presentations of the west. So now, the Prime Minister and the media spokesperson, like a theatre act, walk up to the media ramp in front of the cameras, to deliver their speech – Sound familiar? Yes, it’s the style used by the President of the United States of America when the White House addresses its nation.

Though it’s a good idea to adopt good things from the most powerful nation, adopting only the plastic presentation part is not really prize-worthy. If the Government had to adopt something, they should have adopted a bit of their foreign policy – or at the very least, learned just a little bit about dignity and self-preservation. One should take an example from people and nations that do not hold back when it comes to protecting their citizens and their rights. On the other hand, our current Government seems obsessed only with their vote bank; their every statement and decision reflects political agenda.

A Government has to have the correct set of implementation policies and ministers to protect and see these policies through. It’s been over 6 decades since we attained freedom; this freedom has produced plenty of people who prefer to think about their own financial enrichment. The saddest part is, no one cares about where our National Treasury is heading to. The financial stability of a country is based on a set of proper implementation scenarios by its Government. If the Government itself is involved heavily in dozens of scams, who is really the one guarding the future of Indian Citizens?

Rather than protecting its citizens, suppressing corruption, and taking our nation to a stable and secure state, the current Government has failed to protect our citizens, their rights, and even our national borders. Nothing is more shameful for a nation than having two of its neighboring nations continuously intruding its limits. To top it up, our Government has nothing to fix it. Is submitting an appeal for help to foreign powers the best we can do? And do nothing about the situation at hand?

No, If something must be adapted from the superpowers, it has to be the ‘guts’ to retaliate against foreign threats and neutralize them on high priority. Dynamic presentation is needed to gain an audience, not to run a nation.

Thoughts of a common man, Utilizing the Right to speech and expression

Welcoming Terror

What you ‘sow’ today, you will yield tomorrow. This saying says a lot for everyone. India is not among the self-proclaimed superpower nations, but we do have sufficient resources to kick away or even respond to terror threats that are imposed on us year after year. Mumbai, Delhi, Pune & many other cities have been terrorized so many times till now that we have lost count.

We are not the USA, we don’t go to war to manipulate our economy, nor for the sake of vengeance against the terror imposed on our soil which is necessary. We are India, but are we the nation that welcomes the death riders & terrorists into our country & then feed them for years, respect their religion and then pardon their sins for god knows what possible reason?

Well, we are becoming a nation that beats our sleeping citizens in a mass fast camp. We are becoming a Nation that imposes rigid no cooperation & discussion policy towards the people who at least dare to care for the worsening situation of our country. We are a nation that instead of punishing terrorists, is respecting their rights. We are a nation whose Government respects a religion that can help them stay in power. The core on which our Nation is built upon does not keep affirmation with all that is done by the Government today.

The question here to ask is why? why does our Government provide so many resources to these terrorists, the terrorists that ruined so many families, killed our people like they don’t matter, terrorized our cities & left so many black days in the history of our country. Someone said, “ we respect their religion, so we provide them food & necessary things according to what their religion demands & their human rights”. Well, we all respect every religion there is. We respect the people following that particular religion but what about the human religion, what about the rights of the victims of terror?

In my opinion, these messengers of death have no religion. They don’t have human rights as only humans have human rights, savages don’t. If you consider them human, you talk about their human rights, you let them petition & appeal in courts & even to the President, the last pardon Authority, you are giving these people a chance to commit terrorism and then live their life like celebrities.

Unlimited amount of money has been spent in the day-to-day requirements & security of different terrorists while they sit comfortably year after year till their cases in our courts are settled. I ask, what if this amount of money was invested for the betterment of our nation, our community, by providing resources to the common people who need them the most.

We certainly don’t have the courage to settle our affairs like American forces did in Pakistan when they killed Laden. Their President made a promise to the general public that the perpetrators responsible for 9/11 will be brought to justice & the promise was kept. They did not capture Osama & fed him for years before his crime gets a pardon on some crap basis.

Let me remind these policymakers that We, the people make this nation & it’s economy. We are the backbone that runs the nation. India is a democratic republic. It makes me sad to see that in our free country, our rights are suppressed to benefit a particular group. Our say does not matter to the people sitting at the top of the decision-making chain.

The ones responsible, the ones living their lives after killing hundreds of innocent people should be brought to justice without any delay & without caring for the vote bank of a particular religion, as the people belonging to any religion demand priority justice. Religion in our books comes second & first we all are Indians.

If we want India secured from future invasions & attacks, we need to make it clear to these dealers of terror that an attack on India is a punishable deed & they cannot take us for granted & if it comes to it, India will not pull back from taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of citizens & the ones responsible will be held accountable as we do not welcome terror.

Remember I am just speaking my mind, my observation to words
No offense to any particular religion or community is meant
