Welcoming Terror

What you ‘sow’ today, you will yield tomorrow. This saying says a lot for everyone. India is not among the self-proclaimed superpower nations, but we do have sufficient resources to kick away or even respond to terror threats that are imposed on us year after year. Mumbai, Delhi, Pune & many other cities have been terrorized so many times till now that we have lost count.

We are not the USA, we don’t go to war to manipulate our economy, nor for the sake of vengeance against the terror imposed on our soil which is necessary. We are India, but are we the nation that welcomes the death riders & terrorists into our country & then feed them for years, respect their religion and then pardon their sins for god knows what possible reason?

Well, we are becoming a nation that beats our sleeping citizens in a mass fast camp. We are becoming a Nation that imposes rigid no cooperation & discussion policy towards the people who at least dare to care for the worsening situation of our country. We are a nation that instead of punishing terrorists, is respecting their rights. We are a nation whose Government respects a religion that can help them stay in power. The core on which our Nation is built upon does not keep affirmation with all that is done by the Government today.

The question here to ask is why? why does our Government provide so many resources to these terrorists, the terrorists that ruined so many families, killed our people like they don’t matter, terrorized our cities & left so many black days in the history of our country. Someone said, “ we respect their religion, so we provide them food & necessary things according to what their religion demands & their human rights”. Well, we all respect every religion there is. We respect the people following that particular religion but what about the human religion, what about the rights of the victims of terror?

In my opinion, these messengers of death have no religion. They don’t have human rights as only humans have human rights, savages don’t. If you consider them human, you talk about their human rights, you let them petition & appeal in courts & even to the President, the last pardon Authority, you are giving these people a chance to commit terrorism and then live their life like celebrities.

Unlimited amount of money has been spent in the day-to-day requirements & security of different terrorists while they sit comfortably year after year till their cases in our courts are settled. I ask, what if this amount of money was invested for the betterment of our nation, our community, by providing resources to the common people who need them the most.

We certainly don’t have the courage to settle our affairs like American forces did in Pakistan when they killed Laden. Their President made a promise to the general public that the perpetrators responsible for 9/11 will be brought to justice & the promise was kept. They did not capture Osama & fed him for years before his crime gets a pardon on some crap basis.

Let me remind these policymakers that We, the people make this nation & it’s economy. We are the backbone that runs the nation. India is a democratic republic. It makes me sad to see that in our free country, our rights are suppressed to benefit a particular group. Our say does not matter to the people sitting at the top of the decision-making chain.

The ones responsible, the ones living their lives after killing hundreds of innocent people should be brought to justice without any delay & without caring for the vote bank of a particular religion, as the people belonging to any religion demand priority justice. Religion in our books comes second & first we all are Indians.

If we want India secured from future invasions & attacks, we need to make it clear to these dealers of terror that an attack on India is a punishable deed & they cannot take us for granted & if it comes to it, India will not pull back from taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of citizens & the ones responsible will be held accountable as we do not welcome terror.

The hunger that

Whether a country is developing or developed, Western, Asian, European or else, the basic needs of a common human being are always the same, i.e food, clothing & shelter.

If we talk about India, on paper we are developing at a rapid pace, but if we talk reality not much has changed. Our nation might be getting upgraded in some aspects, the money, the technology might be flowing in, but what has been upgraded for the people that are below poverty line (BPL) or even for the common man that is in many ways the backbone of our nation.

The Common man here is the basic work force that drives a nation to a right path in terms of economic strength. This work force is in almost all sectors is under appreciated & under paid while people sitting higher on the food chain are over appreciated & over paid. There seem to be no balance between the different segment that exist in our society. Over the years the situation for people living BPL or near the poverty line hasn’t changed much, children in many parts of our nation still suffer from diseases that are certified to be eradicated, not only children but even grown ups suffer from imminent deterioration, that lead to shorter & miserable life span.

The Government announces a increase in growth rate, but what growth is growth when even a single person sleeps hungry at night. From decades, our economists are claiming to roll out better budgets that should control inflation & also decrease the poverty ratio. But to what extent all these policies work is unknown.

Some people say that corruption is a root cause behind all of this & making better policies & bills would add to the betterment of this situation. Lok-pal bill is believed to reduce the corruption rate & to better the situation, but is one bill or even hundred more of them enough ? Corruption roots within us. No policy can promise a better tomorrow  until & unless we eradicate the corruption within us. We all tend to add to this corruption when we bribe a officer, a clerk or anyone to either sort things out or get our work done before time. It’s we who tend to break the rules to prioritize our life.

But, I don’t intend to say that the whole problem is within us, in fact it’s just a fraction of the problem that we adhere to. Maximum of our policies were written decades ago, while changes have been made over the years to better these policies, these policies still need to be changed. The people who make these policies are not much educated & lack the wisdom & the power of independent & objective thinking that is a must for any policy that affects millions of lives.

I heard someone saying that “ Corruption is a disease, that cannot be cured”. This is just not true. Somewhere in my earlier posts, i have mentioned that it’s we who make this nation, we are the ones empowering the roots, it’s we who appoint these policy makers, so we reserve the right to change them or even change the whole outlook.

Many a ministers & policy makers tend to opt for “Ignorance is Bliss” as an option & just rely on their mouth to tackle most of the situations. I ask What is the basic criteria for entering politics or taking oath as a Minister ? & How many of the current ministers & even the members of the cabinet are true to these requirements, or maybe just being a sibling to some powerful person is a wildcard entry into politics without a need for qualification ?

I don’t intend to write numbers here, the point that I want to make is that all these policies, these new bills & budgets are pointless as they just don’t feed the hungry & they don’t treat the sick. Over the past few decades the situation of people living below poverty line has deteriorated even more. New Policies look good on paper as they project numbers stating thousand of new homes/shelter, hospitals, schools & other basic necessities but just on paper, what does happen in reality is a great mystery.

Our Constitution says that we are a free country & we have rights then why the authorities what should be protecting our rights just hinder them in the first place ? Things need to change & we all have to be a part of it. Give your coming generation a better tomorrow & make each day count.

Remember, I am just speaking my mind & i don’t want to offend any group or any individual’s opinion.

What the Policy

A nation is built and run on a number of factors. These factors include defence policy, state & central policies, foreign policies etc. etc. While the people we choose to run the Government make & edit these policies with so called ” growth ” in mind, if we look closely we will find out that the policies and expenditures are being conducted strictly on subjective opinions of individuals who are in no way competent to make those decisions and handle huge amounts of National Treasure

Whether we talk about common wealth games where more or about Rs.10000cr was spent & the results were disastrous or talk about the grand community park by the Uttar Pradesh CM that took almost Rs.600Cr. These are just some latest expenditures that pop into ones mind when thinking about the tragic situation of BPL ( below poverty line ) community in India & to say the least about excluding all the essentials from the state or central development list.

There are two aspects of this scenario. One is that our chosen leaders or the decision makers decide to spend a large chunk of money on a particular project. After the completion, almost every time a ” Ghotala “, a scam comes out naming a few people for their indecent involvement & illegal usage of state/National funds. Actually It’s now a very common outcome of any new venture that takes place. The very first thing that comes to mind is ” How much would someone be gulping in the whole process ? “. Why does every time a giant venture takes place, scam comes out of it. Then goes the Inquiries & commissions that takes some more resources & time. Well, after all the losses to national treasure, what’s the point in beating around the bush ?

Second aspect of these expenditures is about the necessity. Let’s consider the latest example of the Community Garden/Park project that was completed a few months back and took about Rs.600cr to get completed. The venture by the Honourable Uttar Pradesh CM has no standing whatsoever in terms of state development. The one question that comes to mind is ” Does UP need a 600cr park ? ” or ” A good Hospital, School, better maintenance of village roads, better electricity supply lines, cheaper food & clean water ” could have been achieved with this huge sum of money.

A hungry or sick person cannot get anything out of that park or won’t give a damn about the CW games. A illiterate child cannot get education from that park.

These are just two examples that show the current status of our National Policies, where Need & Necessity has no standing what so ever. If only educated and competent people run our Government & make policies and adhere to rules of engagement, India can grow at a more rapid pace than it is growing right now.

It’s about opening our eyes to the fact that it’s we who choose the leaders of tomorrow & if we do that carefully, a large sum of resources can be saved & utilized where it makes a difference.

Just my observation to words.

The V.I.P E-ffect !

V.I.P has many meanings. Every Country, District, State, County & even colonies ( Gali-Mohallas) have VIP these days. Some are decent & legal and some are not. But the main point of being V.I.P these days is the VIP attitude.

These people are given that status & responsibilities that makes them what they are, Today some of these posses unique qualities like, self righteousness, arrogance, Sky-high attitude, Freedom of wrongful speech. But, not all V.I.Ps posses these qualities. Some do tend to work for the community & bring betterment to the human prospective.

India as a country has had and will be having different types of politicians, leaders or many other types of VIPs. Now, like everyone else these VIPs are paid by the tax payers money, and sometimes chosen by public electoral system & are directed to work for the people. But, if we pay them, we choose them and they work for us, why does it feel like we are goats of opportunity  to them ? You must have noticed that when a Important person passes you the Pilot car drives by you directing you to give side for the VIP to pass by. Who is that VIP threatened from ? How is a common person supposed to give space to the VIP if he doesn’t have any space to give ? How is it fair to be abused or sometimes even be driven off the road by the Pilot car of a VIP convoy.

The midnight sirens of a VIP convoy just disrupts sleep & serves no purpose. How are those midnight sirens justified, while a group of people enjoying music after 10PM is illegal ? why ? If afterhours music is illegal & that should be, then how are midnight sirens justified.

A Convoy passes you by with flashy lights & noisy sirens & hooters, now doesn’t that attract attention ? why can’t a VIP pass by like a normal person. In my opinion that would attract less attention & would be a safer bet.

It’s our nation & our constitution that directs the power holders to work for us. But it seems that we are just the goats of opportunity who are milked when elections come & then all is forgotten. A common person has equal value than any VIP. They are also just humans who are given that power to serve us & not to act as GOD.

What I’ve Done

People, Organizations, Countries all talk about peace being the primary motive of every talk. There shouldn’t be war, terrorism & a lot of other things. Things that, if excluded, can render our lives much more fruitful. From the last two decades at least we have been talking peace with our neighboring countries and working out a way to not to go to war.

Between the political talks and everything that our government does for peace, it gets more and uglier. Whenever we are attacked, we either run to UN or complaint to China if it involves Pakistan somehow. Does the USA complaint like this when something goes south with their policies.  We have a lot of examples when other countries were breached without just a cause.

Why do we present ourselves as week & pathetic when we are indeed capable. People die, families ruined, children abandoned for life. War heroes die & it all goes in vain for the grant of politics. Why do terrorists get leniency in our country, even when our soldiers captured as POWs get tortured and are not returned to us? Where do the conventions and policies go then?

Country’s policy should be motivated for the nation & for the betterment of our people & country & should not be motivated to get votes from different religions & for misusing the power.

The only question is that What the Common person has done? The Common person who just wants to live in peace & harmony?
